Rates
I am happy to discuss your needs and to provide a quote, based on this fee structure:
$60 per hour for corporate writing, large projects, substantive and structural editing.
$45 per hour for NFP and education sectors.
Concessions
$30 per hour for students, seniors, and self-published authors. Student number or Seniors Card number are required.
Examples
For substantive or copyediting, budget about 60 minutes per 1000 words. As a guide, if your project is 10,000 words, expect a quote of approximately 10 hours.
For proofreading, budget a minimum of 30 minutes per 1000 words. That is, proofreading takes half the time of substantive or copyediting. As a guide, if your project is 10,000 words, expect a quote of approximately 5 hours.
